Jing Chi is a collaboration of renowned guitarist Robben Ford, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta (Sting, Frank Zappa, Steely Dan), bassist Jimmy Haslip (Yellow Jackets, Tommy Bolin, Steely Dan).

Jing Chi brings to mind the essence of classic power trios - its Cream crossed with the adventurous sophistication of The Tony Williams Lifetime, while still leaving room for each players phenomenal soloing ability. The group will be performing material from their new Tone Center CD.

Their first album appeared in 2002 and was followed by a live set the next year titled Jing Chi Live at Yoshis, which included guest appearances by keyboard player Otmaro Ruiz and Marc Russo on alto.
