The Lizards
The Lizards is the brainchild of bassist Randy Pratt and guitarist Patrick Klein. The two first came together to form Hyperspace Records, a label that specializes in the release of new material by classic rock acts. The pair have reformed and recorded material by Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, Sir Lord Baltimore, Blue Cheer, Randy Holden, The Vagrants, The Illusion and others. If the pair didn’t create the “New Classic” scene, they are certainly two of its most significant progenitors.
Vocalist Mike DiMeo, formerly of the heavy metal group Riot, conjures up images of Robert Plant, Paul Rodgers and David Coverdale with his electrifying voice! “It’s the type of music I grew up listening to…the stuff that I first started gravitating to as a singer is what we’re doing in The Lizards.”

Bassist, Randy Pratt. Not content with the droning of a conventional instrument, Randy uses a 6-string bass exclusively to push The Lizards off the Richter scale.

Bobby Rondinelli, who recently left Blue Oyster Cult to work full time with The Lizards, sits in the drummer’s seat. Bobby has toured and recorded with the likes of Rainbow and Black Sabbath and continues to record and perform with Blue Oyster Cult. Bobby can, with great finesse and agility, beat the daylights out of a kit.

Guitar riffmeister Patrick Klein’s genius thrives in his simplicity and diverse tonal palette. His vocal abilities add an extra dimension to Garner’s tour de force.

Klein and Pratt are rockers first and foremost though, so in the process of the various productions they took the cream of these bands and formed their Rock n Roll dream band. The Lizards are a true “New Classic” combo. Classic Rockers forming under a new name and doing new material in the Classic sound.
